This boat trip from Alcudia to Formentor is operated on a comfortable modern glass bottom boat, designed to offer both panoramic sea views and underwater observation during the journey. The route crosses the Bay of Alcudia and follows the northern coastline of Mallorca, gradually revealing the dramatic cliffs and natural landscapes of the Formentor peninsula, where the Sierra de Tramuntana meets the sea.
As the boat cruises along the coast, you will pass hidden coves, rocky inlets and crystal-clear waters that are inaccessible by road. Thanks to the submarine vision area, you can look beneath the surface to observe fish and marine vegetation without entering the water, making this a particularly enjoyable experience for families and anyone interested in Mallorca’s marine environment.
A key moment of the excursion is the photo stop at Cap de Formentor, one of the most iconic viewpoints on the island. From the sea, you will have a unique perspective of this famous headland, ideal for taking memorable photos of the cliffs, lighthouse area and open Mediterranean.
The boat then stops at Formentor Beach, where you will enjoy approximately one hour of free time. During this stop, you can swim in the clear waters, relax on the sand, snorkel close to the shore or simply take in the natural beauty of one of Mallorca’s most famous beaches. After the beach break, the boat returns to Alcudia following the same scenic route, allowing you to continue enjoying the coastline from the sea in a relaxed and comfortable way.
Reviews for the Boat Trip from Alcudia to Formentor
Great boat trip from Alcudia to Formentor with glass bottom views and free time at the beach.
We booked the Alcudia to Formentor boat trip with NoFrills Excursions and everything went perfectly. Easy booking, clear instructions and a beautiful trip. The glass bottom boat and the beach stop made it a great experience.
The boat trip from Alcudia to Formentor was one of the highlights of our holiday. Sailing on the glass bottom boat was relaxing and the views along the coastline were incredible. Seeing the underwater life through the submarine windows was a nice bonus, especially for the kids. The stop at Formentor Beach gave us enough time to swim and enjoy the surroundings without feeling rushed. A very well-organised and scenic boat trip.
Overcrowded boat , 45 mins just to pick people up , Formenta beach is just a strip of sand about 6 foot wide and 100 metres long , what's the point ??? Dump comes to mind
Amazing trip to Formentor beach, most beautiful place I ever seen.
Looked good on paper but having done it the trip is too rushed. Too many people on the boat also to be able to get good pics. I don’t know why they don’t come back at a later time after arriving at the beach as you have barely enough time for a dip in the water. It’s a long journey back too, with nothing of interest. Not value for money for me.
Save your money and book a pedalo at your beach, it’s just an expensive ferry to an overcrowded beach
Great cruise, good value for the money. Unforgettable impressions and great photos. Playa de Formentor is probably the prettiest beach I've ever seen. If I have to complain about something, it was quite poor communication on the ship - supposedly in Spanish and English, but it was barely understandable in English.
It's not worth it, you go with a lot of people, it takes a long time by boat and the beach is very crowded and full of jellyfish... You see the lighthouse a few seconds away... I wouldn't repeat the truth
Great trip! The boat cruise was a wonderful, nice atmosphere, full of beautiful landscapes! On the way to Formentor, the crew took us to Coll Baix bay where we could jump into the water from the ship! It was something wonderful - clear water in which you could see a lot of fishes. The Formentor beach itself is very charming, the water is clear, the beach is a little bit rocky! Swimming in such a place is a wonderful experience. I recommend this trip with all of my heart!
