While on holiday you should never have to compromise, that's why we have added this outing to our selection of excursions. This half day excursion to the Caves of Drach has been especially thought out for those who simply don’t want to miss out on the opportunity of visiting the spectacular Porto Cristo Caves of Drach but have limited time on the island or would just rather spend the afternoon relaxing at the pool soaking up the sun.
Once we have everybody on board our air conditioned coach, we will make our way inland and drive through the beautiful countryside towards the East Coast, where the Caves of Drach are located and where you will live an experience to cherish.
The visit inside the Caves of Drach has a duration of approximately 80 minutes. You will follow the route through the caves, marvelling as each cavern is bigger than the last and more impressive as you progress. The highlight of your visit will be the classical music concert inside the Caves of Drach and crossing Lake Martel's spectacular waters in a small wooden boat (optional). This boat ride is a unique once in a lifetime experience and is included in the price. Lake Martel is one of the largest subterranean lakes that exist. During the visit you will also witness a magical light show that recreates the sunrise.
On this half day excursion you will also have the opportunity to visit the world famous Majorica Pearls and purchase gifts or simply treat yourself at special prices, as there is a shop from this iconic Mallorcan establishment right by the Caves of Drach. The visit to Majorica Pearls is completely optional. Then it will be time to get back on the coach to return to resort, giving you plenty of time to relax by the swimming pool or head to the beach to enjoy the rest of the day's sun rays.
Caves of Drach Customer Reviews
The trip was well planned, on time and very informative. The coach was comfortable and the driving felt safe and smooth. The tour guide was very informative, gave all the info in English and Spanish. He will be retiring soon and it will be a loss to the company, he was brilliant. Friendly, funny and kept the tour on track. I hope they know what an asset they have. We went to the Drach caves via a quick stop in Porte Cristo for a drink and some photos. There was time for a look around the gift shop and a quick lunch at the café afterwards. Was a lovely day, would recommend this tour.
Picked up for our caves of drach tour , efficient and friendly staff who were all very helpful, the only reason I’ve not given 5 stars is because once in the beautiful caves it’s very rushed to get to where the music concert is the staff hurry you along
Enough time to visit the caves and no wait time at arrival because good planned.
Easy pick up in from of our hotel, coach on time, friendly driver and tour guide very informative and spoke in both English and German, did a little stop of a Porto Cristo 1st to take photos, then on to the caves which where a historical wonder, stunning scenery we'll worth a visit and the classical music show topped it off nicely. Time afterwards for lunch or visit to the pearl factory, back by 2pm ish for afternoon at the pool. Would highly recommend this trip.
The photo stop at Porto Cristo was a lovely addition to the tour. The guide was very informative along the way and the Caves were very special. All in all, a very good tour for a good price. Looking forward to the next one.
The whole experience was great. The pickup and transfers were on time, the tour guide kept us informed and gave us clear, easy to follow instructions when we arrived at the caves The caves themselves are amazing, and I’d definitely recommend a visit. There was time to take photos, although standing around too long was discouraged. The classical concert was lovely, only 3 pieces, so not too long if that music genre doesn’t suit your tastes. The boat ride back across the lake is short, but well worth the wait, although there is the option to just go along the walkway if you prefer. All in all, a lovely tour run by a company that came across as reliable and trustworthy
The caves are Nice and concert on boat relaxing Transport is too long if you are from Muro or Alcudia almost 4 hours bus for 90 minutes there And lots of stop in Hôtel Logística has to be reconsidered smalest bus leds stops RESPONSE FROM NOFRILLS EXCURSIONS: Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the caves and the relaxing concert on the lake. However, we would like to clarify a few points about the logistics, as the information in your review doesn’t match our actual schedule. On the day of your tour: Pickup in Alcudia was at 09:10, Playa de Muro at 09:30, And the final pickup in Can Picafort at 09:45. From there, the drive to the Caves of Drach takes about 60 minutes, meaning we arrived around 10:45–11:00. Guests had time to visit the caves, enjoy the concert and optional boat ride, and we departed around 13:10. So in total, the journey time was not 4 hours as stated. In fact, we have fewer pickup points than most agencies, precisely to reduce travel time. We’ve also checked the GPS records for that day, which confirm the timeline above. We always aim to offer a well-organised and enjoyable experience and appreciate your comments, which help us continue improving. If you visit Mallorca again, we’d love to welcome you back!
Enjoyed the excursion. Great service!
The caves ate completely stunning and beautiful The only downside was waiting for a long time (25 mins) for the "concert" which was only 3 songs. Aside from that the beauty of the caves, rock formations and lakes inside are absolutely breathtaking. Our coach guide (Katharina) was fun, knowledgeable, informative and great to listen to.
Felt this experience was rushed, more time travelling than actually in Caves. Musical concert was breathtaking. No info on where to get on boat so we missed this, no info on Pearl factory so again missed. Didnt get told where we would be collected. All in all disappointed and felt was expensive for what was. Advertised as roughly 80mins in Caves yet we were in and out in less than hour.
