This full-day excursion has been carefully designed to combine Mallorca’s most iconic underground wonders with charming coastal scenery, offering a complete and varied experience without rushing. One of the main highlights is the visit to the Caves of Drach, one of the island’s most famous natural attractions. Inside, you will walk through vast caverns filled with impressive stalactites and stalagmites, enhanced by atmospheric lighting that reveals the caves’ dramatic formations. The experience reaches its peak at Lake Martel, one of the largest underground lakes in Europe, where you will enjoy a live classical music concert followed by a boat ride across the lake, creating a truly unforgettable moment unique to this cave system.
The tour also includes a stop at Mallorca Pearls, where you have the optional opportunity to visit the pearl exhibition. Those who choose to enter can learn about the traditional pearl-making process that made Mallorca famous worldwide and explore a wide range of jewellery collections at special prices. Guests who prefer not to visit the exhibition can relax nearby or wait comfortably, making this stop flexible and pressure-free.
After the caves, the excursion continues to the picturesque fishing village of Porto Cristo. Here, you will have free time to stroll along the harbour, enjoy lunch in one of the local restaurants, or relax on the sandy beach with shallow, crystal-clear waters. This coastal break adds a refreshing contrast to the underground visits and allows you to experience Mallorca at a slower, more authentic pace.
The final highlight of the day is a guided visit to the Caves of Hams, known for their distinctive hook-shaped (“hams”) rock formations. These caves offer a different atmosphere from Drach, with an intimate route, beautifully illuminated chambers and a musical show set by an underground lake known as the “Sea of Venice.” Together, the Caves of Drach and the Caves of Hams provide two complementary cave experiences, making this tour one of the most complete ways to discover Mallorca’s subterranean world in a single day.
Customer Reviews: Caves of Drach and Hams Full Day Tour
Great way to see the Caves of Drach and Hams in one day without stress.
Booked with NoFrills Excursions and everything ran smoothly. The guide was excellent and having both caves included saved us a lot of planning. A long day, but absolutely worth it.
This full day tour to the Caves of Drach and Hams was one of the highlights of our Mallorca trip. Seeing both cave systems in one day helped us understand the differences, and the classical concert on Lake Martel was unforgettable. Everything was perfectly organised, from transport to tickets, and Porto Cristo was a lovely bonus stop.
Very well planned and coordinated. Very professional and punctual tour. The experience was very comfortable
Received refund today. Thank you so much for refunding so fast. We have been on Nofrills Excursions in the past and can honestly say you are a fantastic company. Was really happy to be coming on more and now so sad that we can not this year. But will rebook our holiday as soon as we are allowed and will denifinitely book the excursions again with you.
Thanks so much for the refund I’m sure it can’t be easy for you at the moment but be assured we are regular visitors and shall be rebooking as soon as we possibly can. We wish you all the best and safety and good health.
We had an amazing time and were well looked after by Catalina and our driver Miguel. We had a few stops on the way there and the way back, a pearl factory, a liqueur tasting and lunch in Porto Cristo. The caves are truly amazing, you are not allowed to take photos using a flash but there are always some people that think the rules don't apply to them. When you get to the big lake at the end there is an amazing classical 'concert'. The experience is unbelievable and only slightly marred again by those who wanted to get their mobiles out. There is a chance to go on the boat, only for a short distance, but it is well worth the wait in the queue. I don't think any review could do this trip justice, but I would definately recommend using No Frills.
We visited Caves of Drach which was amazing , a journey under the earth to be serenaded by classical music at the bottom. Wonderful! Then on tomPorto Cristo for lunch. Beautiful place and well worth a visit. We then visited the mallorcan pearlmfactorybwhich was lovely could have spent a small fortune! Last we visited a local pottery and liqueur factory. Tasted 20 liqueurs in 30 mins. Wow they were strong! All in all a fantastic day out that only cost €35 and was well worth it.
We went as a family of four with two children aged 4 and 1. The timings of the day were perfect to see the caves and the extra activities such as the pearl factory shop, Porto Cristo, souvenir shop with free liquor tasting and watch tower were all great! Highlight is the underground lake and boat ride. The trip was made extra special by our fantastic guide Albert. His local knowledge, humour and professionalism went above and beyond our expectations. He also went the extra mile to endure we were reunited with our buggy which we had to leave at the entrance to the cave. He made the trip very relaxed and entertaining which can be hard with two little ones. Thank you very much!
My partner and I had a fantastic visit to the caves of drach! The caves themselves were beautiful and the highlight of the tour was watching a musical performance in one of the biggest caves. To end the visit we got a short boat across a river in the cave. Yes, the queues were big but if you are chilled out and prepared to wait a little this isn't an issue. If not you can just walk across a path next to the river. The bus gave you plenty of time in the caves so we were able to queue for the boat ride without too much of a time pressure. The tour guides Juan and Francisco were superb. Juan made what could have felt like a long journey really enjoyable with funny commentary and lots of interesting facts. There were also some other stops to the day, which were excellent. A pearl factory, although I wasn't interested in buying pearls there was a lovely terrace and cafe with beautiful views that we enjoyed. The alcohol tasting was excellent, giving you the chance to sample a really wide range of liquors with no limit- you could have got quite drunk if you'd tried!
