From there, we continue to the Atalaya de Albercutx watchtower, located around 380 metres above sea level. A really enjoyable trip. The guide, Pedro, was funny, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Lots of stories about the island, and areas such as Formentor Beach and hotel made it an interesting trip, and because it was quite a small group, we could ask questions about whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted. The sunset didn't play ball, but instead we watched clouds rolling over the mountains that Pedro had never seen in 14 years of being here. Magical in its own way. Highly recommend this trip.

We booked this sunset excursion from our hotel in Playa de Muro and it was highly enjoyable. They picked us up right on time for the late afternoon departure and we headed into the dramatic Formentor Peninsula. The 3.5-hour tour is perfectly paced, stopping first at the famous Mirador Es Colomer where the cliffs plunge straight into the sea. Then we went up to the Atalaya de Albercutx watchtower for the main sunset show, where we enjoyed the complimentary cava and strawberries with stunning 360-degree views. It’s a very reliable local company and a highly recommended excursion if you want a peaceful evening out.
A truly beautiful and unhurried evening. Travelling in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus with a small group made for a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere away from mass tourism. Our professional guide and the driver were exceptionally pleasant, ensuring we reached the viewpoints safely and comfortably. It is an excellent relation quality-price for such an exclusive experience.
We did the June tour which left at 18:25 and it was an absolute highlight of my summer. Going by minibus means you don't have to worry about mountain driving or limited parking at all. Sitting at the Albercutx watchtower with a glass of cava and fresh local strawberries while the sky changed colours was incredible. The driver was super nice handling the winding roads, making it a brilliant excursion!

We had Pedro for this excursion and he was an excellent guide. We loved to hear stories about the places and we had really a lot of time to enjoy the sunsets at the 2 spots (around 30 min then 1 hour). The way-back drive was a bit erratic unfortunately, but at least we arrived fast.
Wow oh wow! What an experience, it was simply a perfect way to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip as a family of four and what an adventure it was! We were collected from our apartment, which was brilliant. The guide was so kind and knowledgable. We visited the first viewing spot, before a trip to Formentor beach with its platinum sands and green mountain sides, what a bonus, before trekking up the mountain to the best viewing lot to watch the sunset complete with treats! We were then driven home. Not able to recommend No Frills enough. We have booked with them for many years and many trips and everyone was perfect. Thank you so much.
