The Formentor Xperience Bus Tour is a carefully planned half-day excursion designed to show you the most spectacular landscapes of northern Mallorca in a comfortable and well-paced way. After being picked up from your hotel or a nearby meeting point, the journey begins with a scenic drive along the coast of Pollensa Bay, where you can already start enjoying views of the Formentor Peninsula and its dramatic surroundings.
The first highlight of the excursion is a stop at the Mirador de Colomer, one of the most iconic viewpoints in Mallorca. Here you will have approximately 30 minutes to admire panoramic views over steep cliffs, the deep blue Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding Tramuntana mountains. This stop is ideal for taking photos and fully appreciating the unique geography of the Formentor area from above.
After the viewpoint, the tour continues down to Formentor Beach, a natural paradise known for its crystal-clear waters and fine sand. Once reserved exclusively for guests of the historic Formentor Hotel, this beach is now open to everyone and remains one of the most beautiful in the north of the island. You will have around one hour of free time to swim, relax, sunbathe or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this exceptional setting.
One of the highlights of the Formentor Xperience is the boat trip across Pollensa Bay. From Formentor Beach, you board a boat for a scenic journey of approximately 25 minutes to Puerto Pollensa. From the sea, you’ll enjoy a completely different perspective of the Formentor coastline, with impressive cliffs, hidden coves and caves visible only from the water. This boat journey adds variety to the excursion and avoids returning by the same road, making the experience more dynamic and complete.
Once in Puerto Pollensa, the bus will be waiting to take you back to your resort, allowing you to return comfortably with plenty of time left to enjoy the rest of your day. This combination of bus, viewpoint, beach time and boat trip makes the Formentor Xperience one of the most complete and enjoyable ways to discover this iconic area of Mallorca without stress or access restrictions.
Formentor Bus Tour Reviews from Real Travellers
Easy, scenic and well organised Formentor bus tour with beach and boat trip included.
We booked the Formentor Xperience with NoFrills Excursions and everything went perfectly. Clear pickup instructions, a knowledgeable guide and a great mix of viewpoints, beach time and boat trip. Highly recommended if you want to see Formentor without worrying about logistics.
This Formentor bus tour was the highlight of our Mallorca holiday. The viewpoint at Mirador de Colomer was breathtaking, and having time at Formentor Beach was exactly what we wanted. The boat trip back to Puerto Pollensa added an extra dimension to the experience. Everything was well organised and stress-free, especially knowing access to Formentor can be complicated.
Very enjoyable trip, both Manuel the driver and Pam our guide ensured we had a great experience even taking us back up to the viewing point for a second attempt as we couldn’t park the first time. Glad we did as we met the local goats - very friendly. Great views and lots of interesting local information provided by Pam. Loved the time spent at Formentor beach which wasn’t too crowded as we arrived early - great trip back on the boat. Would definitely recommend - think this must be my 3rd time!
It was a lovely trip to formentor. I think it s worth the money with the bus to go there, the beach and the boat abnf the lenght is good even if I would have loved more time at the formentor point of view
Absolutely Fantastic Formentor Tour – Fun for All Ages! We recently joined the Formentor Bus and Boat Tour with No Frills Excursions, and I can wholeheartedly say this was one of the highlights of our Mallorca holiday! We were a family group of six—two young kids (2 and 5 years old), and our in-laws—and each one of us genuinely enjoyed every moment of this tour. Let me start with the organization and logistics: While the bus was slightly late for the morning pick-up, it’s nothing to worry about—very normal, especially if you’re one of the last pick-up stops. The delay was minimal, and honestly, with so many stops along the way, it was to be expected. Once on board, everything was incredibly well coordinated. The bus was clean and modern, with an open rooftop that made the journey feel breezy and enjoyable. No air conditioning, but the natural airflow was refreshing—though after a quick dash up the stairs at Es Colomer for some spectacular photos, we did get a little sweaty. Totally worth it though! Es Colomer viewpoint was simply breathtaking. The views are postcard-perfect, and you’ll want your camera ready at every angle. We had around 30 minutes here, which was just the right amount of time to take in the view, walk up the steps, snap some great family photos, and soak in the stunning scenery. Our tour guide was excellent—very sharp, well-organized, and professional. The way they managed a group of diverse ages and nationalities was impressive. The commentary was delivered in three languages (German, Spanish, and English), always in the same order and very clear. Timing throughout the tour was absolutely spot-on. From there, we made our way to the beautiful Formentor Beach—and WOW! The water was crystal-clear, turquoise blue, and incredibly inviting. We had enough time to swim, relax, and take even more photos. The kids had a blast splashing in the shallow water, while the grandparents enjoyed the peaceful scenery and calm beach vibe. This was a definite highlight and felt like a well-deserved cooldown after the uphill photo stop at Es Colomer. After the beach, we boarded a 30-minute boat ride that offered yet another layer of beauty to the experience. The boat was clean and comfortable. We sat downstairs on the right-hand side to stay out of the sun, and I can confirm the views were still absolutely stunning—even without going upstairs. We cruised around the gorgeous bay near the Formentor Lighthouse, passing by the private palace reportedly worth around $60 million—an amazing sight! This short boat ride gave us a unique perspective of the coastline and was a perfect, relaxing end to the trip. In summary: ✅ Great for all ages (kids, parents, grandparents!) ✅ Professional and friendly guide ✅ Perfectly timed stops ✅ Multilingual and well-structured commentary ✅ Open-roof bus with great airflow ✅ Gorgeous photo opportunities at Es Colomer ✅ Relaxing swim at Formentor Beach ✅ Scenic and comfortable boat ride If you’re in Mallorca and looking for a well-balanced tour that combines nature, swimming, sightseeing, and relaxation, this is it. We are so happy we booked this experience and will recommend it to anyone visiting the island. Tip: Bring water, swimwear, sunscreen, and your camera (or phone with lots of memory). You’ll want to capture every second. Thank you, No Frills Excursions, for a truly memorable day!
