This glass bottom boat trip begins at Can Picafort harbour and takes you on a relaxed coastal cruise across the stunning Bay of Alcudia, one of the most scenic areas in northern Mallorca. From the moment you set sail, you will enjoy wide panoramic views of the coastline, with plenty of space on board to sit comfortably or move between the shaded areas and the open deck.
As the boat heads north, it follows the rugged coastline past cliffs, rocky formations and small sea caves, areas that are difficult to access from land. Along the way, the crew will slow down at key points of interest so you can fully enjoy the scenery and take photos. On clear days, the visibility is excellent and it is even possible to spot eagles, wild goats on the cliffs, and occasionally dolphins swimming in the bay.
One of the main highlights of this excursion is the glass bottom viewing area, which allows you to observe the seabed beneath the boat. From here, you can see fish, underwater rock formations and marine vegetation without getting into the water, making it especially enjoyable for families and children. This submarine vision adds an extra dimension to the experience and turns the journey itself into part of the attraction.
The route continues past the exclusive area of Aucanada, with its hillside villas and the iconic Aucanada lighthouse islet, before reaching Es Coll Baix, considered one of the most beautiful and unspoilt beaches in the Alcudia area. Here, the boat anchors for a 20-minute swimming stop, giving you the chance to swim in crystal-clear waters, cool off, or simply relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.
After the swimming stop, the boat begins its return journey towards Can Picafort, once again offering fantastic coastal views and a calm sailing experience. Throughout the trip, there is an onboard bar where you can purchase cold drinks, and restrooms are available for your comfort, making this a well-balanced and enjoyable boat trip suitable for all ages.
Reviews for the Glass Bottom Boat Trip from Can Picafort
Relaxing glass bottom boat trip from Can Picafort with coastal views and a swim at Coll Baix.
Great experience booking with NoFrills Excursions. The glass bottom boat trip from Can Picafort was exactly as described, with friendly staff, good onboard facilities and a lovely swim stop. Very easy booking process and clear instructions.
We booked the glass bottom boat trip from Can Picafort as a family activity and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our holiday. The 2.5-hour route around Alcudia Bay was very scenic, with fantastic views of the coastline, caves and Aucanada lighthouse. The glass bottom section was a great addition, especially for the kids, and the swimming stop at Coll Baix was absolutely beautiful. Everything was well organised and relaxed from start to finish.
Not really a glass bottom boat. I felt this was just a ride on a boat. Certainly woul not recommended n not value for money. Very disappointed 😞
Nice trip. There was some comment on what we were seeing. The stop for a swim was nice, but short. Overall a nice trip. The glassbotom to see fish was too small and too deep to really see anything.
Good boat. Not too busy and bar snacks available. Do not expect to see anything through the glass bottom though. 2.5 hours just the right length to see some great scenery and some goats! Brief stop for a swim was enough time for a quick cool down and a couple of goes down the slide. 8 out of 10 overall.
I would not recommend this trip as a glass bottom boat, more a sightseeing boat trip. The glass bottom feature consisted of two windows recessed into the floor around a metre by half a metre in size which were useless for underwater viewing, we seen no fish or underwater life.
A nice 2.5 hour trip - the boat was comfortable and you could sit inside or outside so no need to worry about the weather. There are reasonably priced snacks on board and the crew were friendly. I wish that there could have been some kind of commentary because we had no idea what we were looking at. It would have been nice to know where we were and some of the history of the places we were seeing but there wasn’t anything (in any language)
Pleasant enough boat ride. Very hard to hear any commentary, which was very brief anyway. Didn’t tell us about the places we were passing. The swim stop was 15 minutes, not remotely long enough. And I have no idea what the point of the slow tour of Alcudia harbour was. Were we supposed to be admiring the boats or something? If you cut that bit out, you’d get a decent swim length in. It’s a lot of boat travel time for not much else. Photos, as usual, are taken and charged for - €5 each.
