The Island Tour will keep you captivated all day thanks to its unique combination of road, sea and rail travel, perfectly balanced with free time at each stop. You’ll journey along the spectacular west coast of Mallorca, enjoying some of the most breathtaking views in the Mediterranean, while discovering the UNESCO-protected Serra de Tramuntana with commentary from our knowledgeable guide.
Once everyone has been picked up by coach, the tour heads into the heart of the Tramuntana Mountains, following one of the island’s most scenic and photographed mountain roads towards Sa Calobra. Along the way, you’ll enjoy unforgettable panoramic views and plenty of opportunities for photos.
On arrival at Sa Calobra, you’ll have free time to relax and explore this extraordinary natural setting. We always aim to arrive early, allowing you to experience Sa Calobra at its most peaceful and unspoilt, before other groups arrive. This gives you the chance to explore the impressive Torrent de Pareis gorge at a relaxed pace.
Afterwards, we continue the adventure by boat, sailing from Sa Calobra to Puerto de Sóller on a journey of around 40 minutes. From the sea, you’ll admire dramatic cliffs and coastal scenery that simply cannot be seen from land.
In Puerto de Sóller, you’ll enjoy free time for lunch and relaxation. Whether you choose a seaside restaurant recommended by the guide or explore on your own, this stop offers the perfect break in a stunning natural harbour.
In the afternoon, we board the historic Sóller tram, travelling along the seafront and through orange and lemon groves to the town of Sóller. Here, you’ll have time for a short stroll through its charming historic centre before boarding the famous wooden Sóller train.
The final stage of the tour takes you by vintage train through the beautiful Sóller Valley, passing through mountain tunnels and countryside landscapes on a route that has remained almost unchanged for over 100 years. On arrival near Palma, your coach will be waiting to take you comfortably back to your resort.
Island tour reviews
Everything was fine. Thanks to Dori for helping us get into Palma at the end of the tour.
Fantastic! The trip was very well organised, the day flowed seamlessly. The tour guide shared her extensive knowledge of the island and gave everyone clear and precise instruction. A brilliant day had by all.
Dori was fabulous. She had great history of the island and did a great job at speaking Spanish, English and German. I’ve taken MANY tours in many countries and never had anyone walk around to every single seat on the bus on the way home and make sure they had a great day. It was a wonderful special touch. I highly recommend this tour.
The island tour was absolutely amazing, the views were spectacular and I would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone that wants to explore the island
Response from nofrills excursions to the reviewer is at the bottom Driver brilliant Host constantly fishing for tips Oh look we’ve arranged it wasn’t easy get road stopped for us How skilled is the driver Just constant how wonderful are we to organise all this for you I would not use your services again for this reason Dear Tracie, My name is Toni, and I am the Excursion Manager at Nofrills Excursions. Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I have read your comments carefully, and I am sorry that you came away with that impression. I would, however, like to reassure you about one point. All of our guides are very well paid, and in this particular case I know Juan personally and am familiar with his professional situation. I can assure you with complete honesty that he is not trying to encourage tips or relying on them in any way. I have personally joined many excursions with Juan, so I know exactly how he presents the tour. When he highlights the driver's skill, the road closures arranged for the Island Tour, or the organisation behind the excursion, his intention is simply to help guests appreciate everything that goes on behind the scenes to make this day possible. Many people are unaware of the amount of coordination required, and he enjoys explaining those details to add value to the experience. It is certainly not intended as a way of asking for tips. If it came across that way to you, then I sincerely apologise, because that was never his intention. Of course, I respect your decision if you choose not to travel with us again. However, I would also like to leave the door open. We would genuinely be delighted to welcome you back on another excursion in the future, and I hope that, should you decide to give us another opportunity, we can provide you with the experience that so many of our guests enjoy. Thank you again for sharing your opinion, and I wish you all the best. Kind regards, Toni Excursion Manager Nofrills Excursions
Well organised trip, it’s a really nice way to see part of the island. It would be nice to have longer Sóller town to see the cathedral and explore, some information on the history would also be great. 👍🏻 would definitely recommend using this company.
Great day out on the Island Tour . Thanks to Dori and Juan for a great trip . Highly recommend .
Fantastic day out. Every part of the trip was well organised and timed. There was enough time at each stop but it wasn't too long to get bored. Both my 8 & 6 year old enjoyed it too. Shout out to the tour guide, he was great.
Honestly the best tour with the best tour guide Marta. The time spent both at the viaduct at the top of Sa Calobra for photos and then down in Sa Calobra itself on that beautiful beach with turquoise blue water. Then the boat journey around to Port de Soller and the tram ride along the seafront, finishing with a ride in the the famous wooden train to Soller..honestly the best day ever! Such a nice change not having to cycle back up Sa Calobra for once!
