This Alcudia sunset catamaran trip is a carefully planned 5-hour evening cruise designed to combine sailing, swimming, relaxation and dining, all set against the changing colours of the Mediterranean sunset. The experience begins in the late afternoon at the Port of Alcudia, when the temperature is milder and the light creates ideal conditions for enjoying the coastline.
As the catamaran sails along the northern coast of Mallorca, you will enjoy wide panoramic views of Alcudia Bay, with the Serra de Tramuntana mountains forming a dramatic backdrop. One of the first highlights is passing the Aucanada lighthouse, an iconic landmark that offers excellent photo opportunities from the sea. The route continues past rocky cliffs and small coves, showcasing a quieter and more natural side of the coastline.
The first swimming stop takes place at Es Coll Baix, a spectacular and secluded cove surrounded by steep cliffs and accessible almost exclusively by boat. Here, you can swim in crystal-clear waters, float peacefully or simply relax on board while enjoying the scenery. This stop is usually shorter, designed to refresh and prepare you for the main anchoring point of the trip.
The catamaran then heads towards Cala d’Engossalba, in the Bay of Pollensa, where it anchors for a longer stop. This is one of the key highlights of the excursion. You can swim, snorkel, relax on the nets, or use the kayaks and stand-up paddle boards available on board at no extra cost. While you enjoy the calm waters and soft evening light, the crew prepares a fresh barbecue dinner, creating a relaxed and social atmosphere on board.
As the sun begins to set, dinner is served, allowing you to enjoy your meal while watching the sky change colours over the sea. On the return journey, the catamaran makes a final brief stop near the Aucanada lighthouse, offering the chance to cool off in the water or take photographs of the sunset reflecting on the coastline. The trip concludes with a smooth sail back to the Port of Alcudia at around 21:00, leaving you with a memorable evening experience at sea.
Customer reviews for the Alcudia sunset catamaran trip
Fantastic sunset catamaran trip in Alcudia with great views, swimming stops and a lovely dinner on board.
We booked the sunset catamaran cruise with NoFrills Excursions and everything went perfectly. Easy booking, friendly crew and a very relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.
This sunset catamaran trip in Alcudia was one of the best evenings of our holiday. The swimming stops were beautiful, the barbecue dinner was delicious and watching the sunset near the lighthouse was unforgettable.
We booked the Sunset Cruise through Nofrills Excursion and it was easy and all information shared as expected. When at the boat landing in Alcudia, it was a bit unclear how to proceed, but we just joined the que and hoped for it to be the correct que. After a while of waiting I went to the ticket office and got a ticket and confirmation we were at correct location. No problem. Boarding the boat went safely and smooth and we left Alcudia on time. The boat was not overly crowded, but we were not alone. We enjoyed the sailing because of the nice chilling breeze and relaxing atmosphere onboard the boat. The boat stopped in 3 locations giving possibility to snorkle and playing with their kayaks and padle boards. This was all great fun, but the snorkeling in Majorca is not so impressive compared to some asian islands. (we brought own snorkling gear). The meal was cooked onboard and was what to expect on a trip like this. Nothing fancy, no Michelin star, but we found it sufficient. On the way back to Alcudia we made a final stop to enjoy the sun set. This was a nice finish to a decent trip. We went 2 adults and an 11 year old kid and enjoyed the 5 hours onboard. There was music and good company. Bring some cash for tipping the crew. We didn't haver any cash and I would have loved to tip them a bit.
Brilliant, loved the trip, friendly staff, lovely locations, boat wasn't over crowded, food was basic but lovely. I would use this trip again. You will see me again.
Did the sunset cruise earlier this month (Aug 2022), overall the experience was excellent. The food on the boat was very nice (although not ideal for vegetarians!), the stops for swimming was good, not many kayaks / paddle boards for the number of people on the boat but everyone got chance to use them. Some people were pretty selfish and hung on to them for a long time but to be expected. Staff were all friendly, drinks / ice creams were reasonably priced and the boat had a fair bit of space for everyone. Overall would recommend as very good value for money.
